I never thought that I would carefully plan my route in order to run errands — now I try to lump the most of them together in order to save gasoline. Unfortunately, I don’t have a hybrid car to conserve gas.My goodness! I never thought it would come to this. The only other gas crisis I remember is during the ’70s when we would wait in line for hours to fill up the car. Yes, it was a hassle, but the gasoline wasn’t expensive like it is now. The U.S. is fast approaching the U.K. and European gasoline prices which have always been higher than ours.As may you know, I recently spent two weeks traveling around Ireland. I knew that at some point I would run into a La Cañada connection because no matter where I go in this world I always do.This is how the recent LCF hook-up happened: Janie Bergin, a friend of my sister (who I was traveling with), sent her a last minute e-mail before our departure to say she was living in Ireland and could we please stop by if we had time. more
